Q. Do we have to go on a guided tour to see the Mystery House?

A. Yes, the only way to see the Mystery House is to go on the 40min guided tour. But don’t worry! It is fun, interactive, and our tour guides have some funny jokes!

Q. Can we go on a private tour?

A. We do not offer private tours unless you have a group of about 26 people which would fill a tour group. If you come in our off season, (April, May, September or October) it is more likely the tours will not be as full.

Q. How long is the tour?

A. The Mystery House Tour lasts about 30-40min.

Q. Do we need to make reservations?

A. We recommend booking online for groups of 8 or more people. We do allow walk-ins daily but you may have a wait time if you walk-in on a busy day! Reservations allow you to skip the wait-time. If you have a group of over 20 people, you will have to call to make a reservation over the phone.

Q. Is the Mystery House Tour handicap accessible?

A. The tour is not handicap accessible. It is a mulch path with stairs all the way up. Wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed on the tour path. The giftshop and bathrooms are handicap accessible.

Q. How strenuous is the tour?

A. The Mystery House Tour is not recommended for people with balance issues. It is a walking tour about 40yards uphill and 40yards back down.

Q. How often do tours run?

A. During the off-season (April, May, September and October) we run tours about every hour or half-hour. They will vary daily so call ahead to find out how often we are running tours. During the on-season (June, July, August) we will run tours every 10-15min.

Q. What all does Cosmos have to offer?

A. Our biggest attraction would be the Mystery House Tour but we offer Geode Mining and Gem Mining as well!

Q. How long should we plan to spend at Cosmos?

A. The tour lasts about 30-40 min and if you are planning on Geode Mining or Gem Mining you would spend about 1 hour- 1 1/2 hours here!

Q. Are there public restrooms?

A. Yes!

Q. Do you allow pets on the tour?

A. We allow dogs as long as long as they are friendly, on a leash and behave well on tour. If there is continuous barking, we will have to ask you to leave the tour.
